New vehicle registrations have followed a volatile but upward momentum, with the rolling average climbing to highs by late 2025 (strong rental purchases) - with a sharp peak in March 2026 (end of financial year) - before dropping back down to a weak April.
Used imports are different - with prolonged structural decline from ~9,400 units in early 2024 to a trough in mid 2025. 2026 shows very modest, inconsistent recovery.
