Cars, SUVs, utes and vans combined. The Toyota AQUA was New Zealand’s most-registered used import vehicle overall in October 2026 with 900 registrations, ahead of the Toyota PRIUS (518) and the Nissan NOTE (465).
Which fuel types are winning in the market?
Hybrids hold just over half the market at 51.7%, up 4 pp YoY and 1.3 pp MoM, while petrol slipped 7 pp YoY to 38.7%. BEVs are small but moving, at 4.6% (+2.4 pp YoY). Diesel and PHEV are basically flat.
